Wednesday

At 6:07 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall West in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. Later in the day the complainant recovered their property. This case is closed, unfounded.

At 7:57 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Founders Memorial Library in regard to a report of criminal trespass. The officer arrived on the scene and made contact with the individual in question. The individual was given a verbal warning for criminal trespass and escorted off campus.

At 10:02 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of harassment by telephone. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 11:33 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall West in regard to a report of criminal damage. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. The officer investigated and determined the incident to be unfounded.

Thursday

At 7:02 p.m. on March 22, officers were dispatched to Neptune West in regard to a report of theft. The officers met with the complainant and took a report. On Thursday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 12:08 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune North in regard to a report of criminal trespass. Lance A. Barnes, 30, was arrested for criminal trespass. Barnes was processed at the NIU Police Department and then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 5:01 a.m., an officer on patrol of Neptune East made contact with an individual who was under 21 and had consumed alcohol. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 9:01 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Founders Memorial Library in regard to a report of criminal trespass. Floyd E. Wright, 42, was arrested for criminal trespass. Wright was processed at the NIU Police Department and then released on $1,500 bond.

At 2:12 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 8:19 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 8:41 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall in regard to a report of disorderly conduct and assault. The officer made contact with the individual in question. The individual had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of knowingly damaging property. Adale Cross, 19, was arrested on the warrant and also charged with disorderly conduct and assault. Cross was processed at the NIU Police Department and then transported

to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 11:44 p.m., an officer on patrol of the 800 block of North Annie Glidden Road made contact with an individual who was under 21 and in possession of alcohol. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor.

Friday

At 8:41 p.m. on April 12, an officer was dispatched to Lot X in regard to a report of criminal damage. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Friday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 4:51 p.m. on April 17, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Friday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 10:02 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Stevenson Towers North in regard to a report of harassment by telephone. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Friday, this case was closed at the request of the complainant.

At 1:18 a.m., an officer conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle at the intersection of Normal Road and Ridge Drive. The driver of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court on a charge of obstructing a peace officer. Will F. Harris was arrested and processed at the NIU Police Department. Harris was released on $375 bond.

At 2:43 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle in Lot W. The officers smelled the odor of cannabis in the vehicle but determined it to be unfounded. A passenger in the vehicle provided the officers with false information. The passenger was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for Obstructing Identification.

At 3:11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Campus Life Building in regard to a report of Criminal Trespass. The officer arrived on scene and investigated. The incident was determined to be Unfounded.
