‘To Be Loved’ fails to disappoint Bublé fans

Michael Bublé’s newest CD, “To Be Loved,” was released Tuesday. This album does not disappoint due to his soothing voice and adorable songs.

Similar to his other CDs, “To Be Loved” contains a mix of original and classic tracks.

For example, the powerful cover of “You Make Me Feel So Young” is a great opener to the album. This impactful tribute to Frank Sinatra is a great reminder of why any Bublé fan would want to buy this album. This impressive song shows off his raw talent.

My favorite song on the album is “It’s a Beautiful Day.” This Bublé original, co-written with Amy Foster and Alan Chang, is a positive song about a break up. I also like the music video to this song. In the video, Bublé walks in on his girlfriend getting cozy with her yoga instructor. Instead of getting upset, Bublé walks out of his house and sings during a beautiful day.

The album also includes the “Toy Story” classic “You’ve Got a Friend in Me.” Perhaps he chose to include this song on the album because his wife is expecting their first child.

Another surprise on “To Be Loved” is guest singer Reese Witherspoon. After her performance in “Walk the Line,” it is no surprise her voice is equally as smooth when singing wth Bublé. “Something Stupid” is adorable and I can picture the duo singing together.

In an interview on his website, Bublé teased about his new album. “My new record is about love, happiness, fun and yummy things,” he said.
