The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday March 12

At 4:43 p.m., officers responded to 755 Regent Drive for a report of solicitors. Following investigation, Michael M. Greene, 28; Kanesha C. Mapp, 21; Jalil Cox, 23; Tutiana L. Mendoza-Thomas, 19; and Vaughn P. Little, 23, were charged with soliciting.

Wednesday March 13

At 7:28 a.m., a complainant contacted the Police Department to report a domestic battery at University Village Apartments. Following investigation, Jeramie Green, 26, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

At 10:38 a.m., officers received a 911 call with a female asking for the police. The female was crying and hung up before stating the problem. An investigation led to the arrest of Tamika L. Ellis, 30, who was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

At 3:07 p.m., following a traffic stop at 1200 Sycamore Road, David D. Holliday, 22, was charged with no valid driver’s license, no insurance and no seat belt. Holliday was released on bond.

Thursday March 14

At 11:53 p.m., officers responded to Travel Inn, 1116 W. Lincoln Highway, for a report of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, the victim told police the suspect put sugar in his gas tank. The victim told police the suspect asked him several times to borrow money and the victim refused. Officers reviewed the security video in which the suspect is seen putting sugar in the victim’s gas tank. Laquanda D. Hernet, 33, was charged with criminal damage to property.

At 8:58 p.m., following a traffic stop at 800 W. Lincoln Highway, Daniel W. Kazda, 18, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of paraphernalia, possession of alcohol by a minor and speeding. Kazda was released on bond.

At 12:51 p.m., Steven W. Gahlbeck, 55, was charged with failure to appear—theft. Gahlbeck was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 10:43 p.m., following a traffic stop at 900 E. Lincoln Highway, Delvya J. Harris, 20, was charged with speeding, driving with a suspended license and no insurance. Harris was released on bond.

At 2:43 p.m., following a traffic stop at 800 Russell Road, Ashley M. Holmes, 25, was charged with driving with a suspended license and operating a motor vehicle when registration is suspended. Holmes was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Friday March 15

At 7:55 p.m., following a traffic stop at 1900 N. First St., Charles A. Drews, 22, was charged with possession of cannabis, possession of paraphernalia, disobeying stop sign and no insurance.

Saturday March 16

At 12:05 p.m., following a traffic stop at 800 Russell Road, Dwayne E. Williams, 29, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, no valid driver’s license, no front plate and disobeying a stop sign.

At 2:08 p.m., Jeffrey E. Kranz, 33, turned himself in on a warrant for failure to appear—DUI. Kranz was released on bond with a court date.

At 7:32 a.m., Richard A. Paton was charged with a cook county warrant for condition release violation for DUI. Paton was released on bond.

At 2:13 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1200 E. Lincoln Highway, James A. Bohne, 21, was charged with two counts of DUI and improper lane usage. Bohne was released on bond.

Sunday March 17

At 1:08 p.m., officers responded to a report of theft at 180 Dodge Ave. Officers met with Terence J. Low, 57, next to his vehicle. He explained the subject was accusing him of stealing a wallet. The subject in question exited the building and Low began screaming religious epithets at him. Low admitted driving to the scene and was arrested for driving a suspended license and expired registration.

At 6:52 p.m., Amee M. Vanmersbergen, 31, turned herself in on a warrant for criminal trespass and was released on bond.

At 12:51 p.m., Steven W. Gahlbeck, 55, was charged with failure to appear—theft. Gahlbeck was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
