The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Thursday 3/7

On Feb. 4, an officer was dispatched to NIU Health Services in regard to a criminal sexual assault reported to have occurred in New Hall West. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On March 7, this case was closed, prosecution denied.

At 8:58 p.m. on Feb. 14, an officer was dispatched to Neptune East in regard to a report of criminal sexual assault. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. An investigation was started. On March 7, this case was closed, prosecution denied.

At 2:10 p.m., an officer on patrol of DuSable Hall made contact with an individual in regard to a report of theft. The officer took a report from the complainant. This case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

Friday 3/8

At 12:16 a.m., an officer on patrol of New Hall East made contact with five individuals who were under 21 and intoxicated. The individuals were given a verbal warning for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 1:56 a.m., an officer on patrol of Stevenson Towers North made contact with two individuals in regard to alcohol. One individual was given a verbal warning for unlawful possession of alcohol by a minor. The other individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 10:57 a.m., officers were dispatched to the Campus Child Care building in regard to a report of an altercation. Officers arrived on scene and made contact with an individual who was verbally threatened by a child care employee. Goldie L. Harris, 32, was arrested for aggravated assault. She was processed at the NIU Police Department and then transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 5:14 p.m., officers were dispatched to the Convocation Center in regard to a report of battery. The officers arrived on scene and an investigation was started. The investigation produced no evidence that a battery had occurred. All parties were released without charge.

At 7:02 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Neptune North in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 9:39 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall West in regard to a report of cannabis. The officer made contact with an individual in the room in question Contact resulted in the individual, Sam J. Rorie, 19, being arrested for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia. Rorie was processed at the NIU Police Department and then released on an individual bond.

Saturday 3/9

At 12:16 p.m., officers on patrol of the 800 block of Russell Road made contact with an individual with an active arrest warrant for failure to appear in court for a traffic offense. Melanie M. Palcuk, 25, was arrested and processed at the NIU Police Department. She was released on $375.

Sunday 3/17

At 9:01 a.m. on Feb. 5, an officer was dispatched to the Holmes Student Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On March 10, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 4:33 p.m. on Feb. 10, an officer was dispatched to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On March 10, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 1:01 p.m. on Feb. 18, an officer was dispatched to DuSable Hall in regard to a report of theft that occurred in Cole Hall. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On March 10, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

Monday

At 11:05 a.m. on Jan. 30, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 3:11 p.m., an officer on patrol of Northern View apartments made contact with an individual in regard to cannabis. Contact resulted in the individual being given a verbal warning for possession of cannabis.

Tuesday

At 2:07 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Northern View apartments in regard to a report of criminal trespass. The officer arrived on scene and made contact with the individual in question. Jonathan P. Howard, 21, was arrested for criminal trespass. Howard was processed at the NIU Police Department. He was released on $150 bond.

Wednesday

At 10:15 a.m., officers were dispatched to Huskie Stadium in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 12:15 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 3:24 p.m. on Feb. 5, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of residential burglary. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Thursday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 10:15 a.m. on Wednesday, officers were dispatched to Huskie Stadium in regard to a report of theft. The officers met with the complainant and took a report. On Thursday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 12:15 p.m. on Wednesday, an officer was dispatched to the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Thursday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 5:37 p.m., officers met with an individual at the NIU Police Department in regard to a report of theft. Officers took a report and initiated an investigation. This case is open pending further investigation.
