On Feb. 7 at 11:27 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Monday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 12:25 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Lincoln Hall in regard to a report of unlawful consumption of alcohol by minors. The officer made contact with the individuals in the room in question. Contact resulted in nine individuals being given verbal warnings for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 11 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the 300 block of West Hillcrest Drive in regard to a disabled vehicle. The officer made contact with the driver of the vehicle and smelled the odor of cannabis. A search of the driver resulted in the discovery of drug paraphernalia. The driver was given a verbal warming for possession of drug paraphernalia.
