The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Wednesday
At 12:03 p.m., Joe H. Abudayyah, 31, turned himself in for a warrant out of Ogle County. Abudayyah was charged with petition to revoke and, being unable to post bond, was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Jonathan A. Taylor, 20, confessed to painting graffiti. Taylor was charged with criminal defacement of property and was released on bond.
At 3:22 p.m., officers responded to Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road, for a report of retail theft. Following investigation, Landon D. W. Nelson, 19, was charged with retail theft.
At 6:14 p.m., officers responded to A Perfect Silhouette, 866 W. Lincoln Highway for an open door to the business. Vanessa J. Bomar, 32, was charged with driving on a cancelled driver’s license.
Thursday
At 2:37 a.m., officers observed a driver not wearing a seat belt. Following a traffic stop, Jacob S. Westerfield, 25, was charged with driving and no seat belt. Westerfield posted bond and was released with a court date.
At 10:58 a.m., officers were dispatched to a Normal Road residence for a domestic dispute. The victim informed dispatch she was being followed by her ex-boyfriend. She was advised to drive to the police department. Officers were waiting and Thomas Edward Hutchinson Jr., 28, was charged with driving with a suspended license, unlawful possession of a controlled substance, and two counts of stalking.
At 1:03 p.m., officers were dispatched to Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road, in reference to a report of retail theft. Following an investigation, Darvelle D. Gunn, 20, was charged with retail theft.
At 7:53 p.m., officers responded to 830 Edgebrook Drive to serve a warrant. Daysha S. Blackwell, 21, was charged with obstructing identification and a warrant for failure to appear—driving with a suspended license. Blackwell was released on bond.
At 5:40 p.m., officers responded to a West Locust Street residence in reference to a disorderly conduct report. The victim and the suspect were located inside the apartment. The victim said the suspect hit him multiple times and the suspect said the victim also hit her. The suspect was determined to be the aggressor. Kelly C. Kangas, 44, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.
At 1:12 p.m., dispatch received a call from a resident of 915 Crane Drive about a male subject with a known warrant trespassing on the property. Following an investigation, Christopher R. Williams, 27, was charged with criminal trespass and a child neglect warrant. Williams was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
Friday
At 1:59 a.m., officers observed a driver slouched forward in his seat and not wearing a seat belt. Following a traffic stop at 1100 W. Lincoln Highway, Gabriel J. Burmeister, 28, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, failure to wear seat belt, expired registration and no insurance. Joshua M. Wucki, 27, and Miles L. Bugna, 26, were charged with illegal transport of alcohol.
At 3:57 p.m., officers responded to a Holmes Place residence for a report of a domestic battery. Following an investigation, Michelle M. Hansen, 30, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.
At 10:11 a.m., Robert A. Hall, 45, turned himself in on an Ogle county warrant for failure to appear—driving with a suspended license. Hall was released on bond.
At 11:08 p.m., following a traffic stop, Ralance L. Coldart, 30, was charged with driving with a suspended license and possession of cannabis. Coldart was released on bond.
At 11:07 p.m., following a traffic stop, Andrea Mancilla, 39, was charged with no valid driver’s license and no insurance. Mancilla was given a verbal warning for not having her headlights illuminated when required and was released on bond.
Saturday
At 1:15 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1300 N. First St., Brian M. Crouch, 35, was charged with driving with a suspended license, suspended registration and two counts of DUI.
At 12:48 a.m., officers responded to 920 Hillcrest Drive in response to a report of disorderly conduct. A fire alarm had been pulled. Kristen J. Lambert, 20, was charged with unlawful consumption of alcoholic liquor and disorderly conduct. Lambert was released on bond.
At 12:23 a.m., following a traffic stop at 100 N. Annie Glidden Road, Olivia D. Austin, 25, was charged with no valid driver’s license and no front registration plate. Austin was released on bond with a court date.
At 4:35 p.m., officers responded to a Cotton Avenue residence for a report of battery. The victim said her uncle was battering her. The victim said the suspect was intoxicated and yelling at her. The suspect then proceeded to push her and choke her, according to the victim. The suspect denied the victim’s statement. Following further investigation, Randall R. Foster, 36, was charged with domestic battery and was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 1:36 p.m., officers responded to a Cotton Avenue residence to investigate another case when they made contact with Kathleen Foster, 61, and were informed she had a valid warrant. Foster was charged with failure to appear—retail theft. Foster was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 1:25 p.m., Royneisha L. Miller, 27, turned herself in on a warrant for failure to appear—retail theft. Miller was released on bond with a new court date.
At 1 p.m., officers responded to a Regent Drive residence in response to a report from a resident. The complainant said she could hear a female subject was behind the building being battered and yelling for help. Following an investigation, Devon J. Etheridge, 20, was charged with domestic battery.
At 12:25 p.m., officers responded to Walmart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in reference to retail theft. Following an investigation, Corey Cambell, 29, was charged with Class A retail theft.
At 6:43 a.m., while investigating another crime officers learned a complainant held two warrants out of Ogle County. Michael C. Harris was charged with failure to appear—two counts of criminal sexual abuse. Harris was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 6:19 a.m., officers responded to 1100 W. Lincoln Highway for a report of criminal trespass. Following investigation, Anthony A. Glenn, 29, was charged with criminal trespass to residence, battery and resisting.
At 7:45 p.m., following a traffic stop, Jason C. Carroccio, 31, was charged with driving with a suspended license and speeding. Carroccio was released on bond.
