Friday

At 9:29 a.m., officers conducted a traffic stop at 1240 Normal Road. The driver of the vehicle had an active arrest warrant for a traffic offense. Ronika L. Jones, 24, was arrested and processed at the NIU Police Department. Jones was released on $150 bond.

At 12:38 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Convocation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

Saturday

At 3:26 a.m., an officer on patrol of Grant Towers North made contact with an individual who was under the 21 and intoxicated. Kevin W. Nadelhoffer, 19, was arrested for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. Nadelhoffer was processed at the NIU Police Department and released on $150 bond.

At 2:08 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the NIU Recreation Center in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. This case is open pending further investigation.

At 10:17 p.m., officers were dispatched to Douglas Hall in regard to a report of domestic battery. Officers arrived on scene and initiated an investigation. Nicholas J. Luskey, 18, was arrested for domestic battery. He was processed at the NIU Police Department and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 11:25 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Stevenson Towers South in regard to a report of cannabis. The officers made contact with an individual in the room in question. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia.

Sunday

At 11:15 p.m. on Feb. 1, an officer was dispatched to Neptune North in regard to a report of theft. The officer met with the complainant and took a report. On Sunday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 3:15 p.m. on Feb. 7, an officer was dispatched to the Emergency Management and Planning building in regard to a report of theft and unlawful use of a credit card. On Sunday, this case was administratively closed due to a lack of leads.

At 2:46 a.m., an officer on patrol of Lot X made contact with an intoxicated individual. During the course of the contact, the officer determined that the individual was under 21. The individual was given a verbal warning for unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor.

At 10:23 p.m., an officer was dispatched to New Hall East in regard to a report of cannabis. The officer made contact with an individual in the room in question. Contact resulted in the individual being referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for possession of drug paraphernalia.
