The following was taken directly from the University Police. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law. The University Police Department provides police reports on the Web at finfacil.niu.edu/PublicSafety.

At 7:56 a.m., following a traffic stop at 1400 W. Lincoln Highway, Cory M. Brown, 22, was charged with driving with a suspended license and registration suspended for no insurance. Brown was released on bond.

At 11:22 a.m., officers responded to the Road Ranger Gas Station, 125 N. Annie Glidden Road, for a report of deceptive practice. Following investigation, Carvain L. Humphrey, 34, was charged with forgery and unlawful possession of controlled substance. Humphrey was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 6:18 p.m., following a traffic stop at 100 N. First St., Jose N. Gonzalez, 25, was charged with no valid driver’s license, disobeyed traffic control device and a Cook County warrant for failure to appear—no valid driver’s license. Gonzalez was released on bond.

The police department received two reports of a loud disturbance in progress at 920 Greenbrier Road. Upon arrival, the complainant said the noise was still going on. Following investigation, Michael A. Tune, 34, was charged with interfering with the report of domestic violence. Tune was released on bond.
