The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Wednesday

At 12:28 a.m., officers made contact with Denzel Tarver, 20, in the 2200 block of E. Eve’s Circle, while he was walking along the sidewalk. After running his name through dispatch, they advised he had a valid warrant out of DeKalb. Tarver was charged with failure to appear—assault and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 2:04 a.m., officers observed a vehicle drifting over into the curb lane and failing to signal turns. Following a traffic stop at 900 Fotis Drive, Darrell Nelson, 24, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, failure to signal, and improper lane usage. Nelson was released on bond.

At 2:27 p.m., officers received a report of domestic battery at 593 Magnolia St.. Following investigation, Hassan R. Coleman, 22, was charged with domestic battery.

At 8:35 p.m., officers responded to 1217 Blackhawk Road for a report of a domestic problem. The victim had scratches on her neck and bruises on her arm. Janeski J. Pickett, 23, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

At 10:37 p.m., officers responded to 1010 W. Lincoln Highway to serve a warrant. David D. Holliday, 22, was charged with failure to appear—driving with a suspended license and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:17 p.m., Sergio Noriga, 21, turned himself in on an active warrant for failure to appear —traffic. Noriga was released on bond.

Thursday

At 9:03 p.m., Stephen Donnell Craig, 26, was seen walking through University Plaza, 900 Crane Drive. Craig had been served a revocation of invitation to premises letter. Dispatch also advised that Craig had a warrant for trespassing on University Village property, 630 N. Annie Glidden Road. Craig was charged with criminal trespass to real property and unlawful possession of cannabis.

At 10:35 p.m., officers responded to 1424 Moluf St. to serve a warrant. Lakeisha M. Hall, 33, was charged with contempt of court, and released on bond.

At 10:41 p.m., following a traffic stop at 1300 N. 13th St. Jeffrey D. Tolefree, 22, was charged with driving with a suspended license, and no insurance. Tolefree was released on bond.

Friday

At 1:58 a.m., officers observed a red Ford traveling eastbound with the driver hunched forward and not wearing his seat belt. Following a traffic stop, Bradley N. Cook, 26, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, and failure to wear a seat belt.

At 2:30 a.m., officers responded to a report of domestic dispute. Upon arrival, it was learned that two roommates were involved in a physical altercation. Joshua A. Williams, 22, punched his roommate in the face. It was also learned there was a firearm that Williams possessed a FOID card for. The roommate did not want Williams charged and Williams agreed to leave for the night. Officers dropped Williams at an address on Spiros Drive. After the officers left, Williams began harassing his roommate and ultimately left the residence on Spiros Drive and walked back to Regent Drive. Officers were again called and observed Williams fleeing. The roommate advised that during the altercation, Williams threatened to shoot him while he was sleeping. Williams was located and charged with two counts of domestic battery. The firearm was collected and placed in the police department armory.

At 11:09 a.m., officers received a complaint of soliciting at University Village, 722 N. Annie Glidden Road. Following investigation, George P. Ntim, 20, and Robert E. Benette, 26, were charged with soliciting without a license and released on bond.

At 11:48 a.m., officers were called to 835 Edgebrook Drive for a domestic complaint. The anonymous complaintant overheard the suspect, Drew R. Scott, 22, state he was going to kill himself. The suspect had left prior to the arrival of the officers. Scott was located at 1234 Rushmoore Drive. Following investigation, Scott was charged with intent to deliver controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance, intent to deliver cannabis, possession of cannabis, and possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 12:42 a.m., officers observed a vehicle traveling without headlights when required. Following a traffic stop at 900 Greenbrier Road, Frederick O. Cornely, 22, was charged with no valid driver’s license and released on bond.

At 6:33 p.m., officers responded to 507 E. Taylor St. to serve a warrant. Robert B. Kyle, 35, was charged with failure to appear–criminal damage to property and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 9:52 p.m., officers were checking the area of the 900 block of Pappas Drive for two burglary suspects that fled from officers. Officers observed a subject matching the physical description of one of the suspects. Following investigation, Derrick L. Valentine, 34, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis, and an original warrant for failure to appear. Valentine was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 10:11 p.m., officers observed a vehicle with a driver not wearing his seat belt. Following a traffic stop at 1000 Hillcrest Drive, Michael T. Lewis, 25, was charged with an original warrant of failure to appear—aggravated discharge of a firearm, expired driver’s license, no insurance, and no seat belt. Lewis was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 11:24 p.m., officers responded to a report of battery at Fatty’s, 1312 W. Lincoln Highway. John J. Zimmer, 49, was charged with two counts of battery and transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Saturday

At 12:22 a.m., officers responded to Otto’s, 118 E. Lincoln Highway, in reference to a report of battery. Following investigation, James E. Shanks, 41, was charged with battery.

At 2:50 a.m., officers responded to 209 E. Lincoln Highway for the report of criminal damage to property. Following investigation, William R. Winow, 22, was charged with criminal damage to property.

At 3:19 a.m., officers observed a vehicle that was stationary less than 15 feet from a fire hydrant at 100 S. Pearl St.. Officers spoke with the driver. Charles D. Shultz, 22, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, and parking where prohibited.

Officers were dispatched to Walmart, 2300 Sycamore Road, on a report of retail theft. An investigation led to the arrest of Ronnesha S. Wilson, 23, Antonio D. Bingham, 25, and Angelo Bingham, 24. Wilson was charged with retail theft. Antonio Bingham was charged with possession of cannabis and battery. Angelo Bingham was charged with obstructing a peace officer and trespass to property.

At 2:03 p.m., officers responded to 800 N. Annie Glidden Road on a report of suspicious activity. Austen K. Pickens, 23, was charged with aggravated unlawful use of a weapon, possession of a firearm without a FOID, and possession of ammunition without a FOID. Pickens was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office. Hampton M. Stephens, 27 was charged with possession of cannabis and released with a court date.

At 10:57 p.m., officers responded to 607 S. Fourth St. in reference to a violation of an order of protection. Sergio Camano, 24, was charged with violation of an order of protection.
