The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Monday

Demetric D. Starling, 26, was charged with an original warrant for trespassing and failure to appear—trespassing. Starling was transported to DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 9:01 a.m., Patrick J. Bratner, 22, was charged with a parole violation warrant. Bratner was taken to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 12:38 p.m., officers responded to Hobby Lobby, 2500 Sycamore Road, on a complaint of retail theft. Bria C. Moore, 19, was charged with retail theft.

At 6:58 p.m., dispatch received a call on 911 from the suspect. The suspect told dispatch he wanted the police lieutenant to show up at his location so he could kill him. The phone was traced to 400 Culver Street and the suspect, Danny L. Setser, 51, was arrested. Setser was charged with disorderly conduct.

At 8:44 p.m., officers received three calls from Paulino Rios, 51, attempting to report a stolen truck. The truck in question had been towed and Rios was unable to claim it due to not having the proper title for the truck. Rios has reported this several times this year and had been warned he would be charged with disorderly conduct for calling 911 to file a false claim. Officers located Rios at 600 N. 10th St. and was charged with disorderly conduct. Rios was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

Tuesday

Marvin T. Allen, 25, turned himself in on a warrant for trespassing to real property. Allen was released on bond.

Wednesday

At 1:46 p.m., one of the suspects called 911 for a check well being report. The victim was unhappy that the call was put on hold by Department of Children and Family Services and the police. The victim then went to the neighbor’s house, 726 N. 10th St., to confront them himself. Karl B. Kaelin, 45, and Joshua C. Daniels, 27, were charged with fighting in the city.

At 5:48 p.m., following a traffic stop at the 400 block of Grove Street, J.M. Montero, 19, was charged with driving with a suspended license, suspended registration for non-insurance, and no insurance. Montero was released on bond.

At 6:40 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of retail theft at Target, 2555 Sycamore Road. Joelle Calderon, 27, was charged with retail theft and released on bond.

At 11:14 p.m., officers received a call in reference to the suspect grabbing the victim and pulling her into the house at 1409 E. Lincoln Highway. An investigation was started. Jesus Gutierrez, 37, was charged with two counts of domestic battery.

Henry J. Kizer, 27, was served a warrant for aggravated battery and mob action. Kizer was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office Jail.

Officers responded to 907 N. 14th St. to serve a warrant. Cory J. Kizer, 20, and Anthony A. Glenn, 29, were charged with aggravated battery and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

Thursday

At 2:43 a.m., officers responded to Steak ‘n Shake, 2380 Sycamore Road, in reference to disorderly conduct. Dispatch advised a male subject in a black Pontiac Sunfire had exposed himself to the employee working the drive-thru window. An investigation led to the arrest of Douglas P. Hillary, 28. Hillary was charged with public indecency.

At 5:50 p.m., officers served a warrant to Joshua R. Moss, 26, 1075 Ridge Drive. Moss was charged with two counts of failure to appear — driving with a suspended license in DeKalb County and failure to appear—possession of liquor in Kendall County. Moss was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 7:26 p.m., officers responded to Vinny’s Pizza, 221 W. Lincoln Highway, on a report of suspicious activity. Following investigation, Joquin Alvarez, 33, was charged with an original warrant for failure to appear—DUI and failure to appear—driving with a suspended license. Alvarez was transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

At 8:10 p.m., Devin J. Iverson, 23, turned himself in on a failure to appear warrant — assault. Iverson was released on bond.

Friday

12:05 a.m., officers responded to University Village Apartments, 722 N. Annie Glidden Road, for a follow up on a separate case. Officers found a warrant under the suspect’s name and Danny R. Flowers, 33, was charged with the Kane County Original Warrant of unlawful possession of a second division vehicle. Flowers was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 1:17 a.m., officers were patrolling the parking lot of Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road, when they noticed a vehicle parked in a handicapped stall. Following investigation, Tracy J. Kline, 36, was charged with unlawful use of a handicap placard. Kline was released on bond.

At 2:37 p.m., officers responded to 105 Delcy Drive to serve a warrant. Zechariah Brezovic, 29, was charged with the original warrant of failure to appear—driving with a suspended license and released on bond.

At 7:14 p.m., officers responded to 311 W. Alden Place to serve a warrant. Javier Montalvo, 40, was charged with the original warrant of failure to appear driving with a suspended license. Montalvo was released on bond.

At 4:52 p.m., officers stopped a vehicle with an open trunk full of I-Beams. An investigation led to the arrest of Shawn M. Roper, 27. Roper was charged with theft under $500.

Saturday

At 12:10 a.m., officers responded to 857 Ellwood Ave. to serve a warrant. Joshua M. Patton, 27, was charged with failure to appear—traffic. Patton was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.

At 1:51 a.m., officers observed a vehicle swerving left and right, and crossing the center line. Following a traffic stop Christopher T. Ernest, 21, was charged with DUI, DUI over .08, and improper lane usage. Ernest was released on bond.

At 4:07 a.m., officers heard shouting coming from the 1200 block of State Street. Following investigation, Devin R. Taylor, 19, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis. Taylor was released on bond.

At 11:07 a.m., Trent R. Busse, 42, turned himself in on a failure to appear warrant—DUI. Busse was released on bond.

At 9:54 p.m., officers responded to a report of dogs running loose. Following investigation, Zachary R. Peters, 27, was issued a citation for dog running at large.

At 10:38 p.m., following a traffic stop at 1300 Sycamore Road, Shamika C. Johnson, 24, was charged with driving with a suspended license. Johnson was released on bond.
