The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Wednesday
Patrick J. Brantner, 22, was arrested for unlawful contact with a street gang member. Brantner was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 4:30 p.m., officers were dispatched to Target, 2555 Sycamore Road, to investigate a retail theft. Anthony M. Przybysz, 23, was charged with retail theft.
At 10:29 p.m., following a traffic stop at 500 N. Annie Glidden Road, Justin L. Jerrad, 23, was charged with driving with a suspended license. Jerrad was booked and released on bond.
Thursday
Patrick K. Owens, 21, was picked up sleeping on the porch of 210 N. First St. Owens was charged with violation of sex offender laws.
At 6:49 p.m., officers went to 753 Fotis Drive to serve a warrant. Goldie L. Harris, 32, was charged with failure to appear- domestic battery for DeKalb County, and failure to appear for driving without a license in Ogle County. Harris was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 10:21 p.m., following a traffic stop at 800 Hillcrest Drive, Sarah E. Long, 19, was charged with driving with a suspended license, and no insurance. Long’s car was towed and she was released on bond.
At 10:59 p.m., following a traffic stop at 100 N. First St., Joshua L. Adams, 27, was charged with no valid driver’s license, and no insurance. Adams was released on bond.
At 11:49 p.m., following a traffic stop at 200 N. Annie Glidden Road, David Campbell, 23, was charged with possession of cannabis with intent to deliver, possession of cannabis, driving with a suspended license, and obstructing identification.
Friday
At 1:28 a.m., officers observed a vehicle driving very slow and close to the curb, followed by turning without a turn signal. When officers initiated a traffic stop in the area of 100 E. Locust St., the driver stopped in the middle of the road. Mark S. Marsh Jr., 27, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence over .08, illegal transportation of liquor, failure to signal when required, unlawful possession of cannabis, and unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia.
At 1:53 a.m., officer observed a vehicle tailgating after a road rage incident. The suspect then cut off the victim. Following a traffic stop, Steven J. Navalany, 27, was charged with driving under the influence, driving under the influence over .08, following too closely, and a previous warrant for equipment violation in Ogle County. Navalany was released on bond.
At 8:37 p.m., officers responded to 647 N. Fifth St., in response to a report of domestic battery. Dispatch advised that the suspect went to the victim’s house and refused to leave. Dispatch also advised that the suspect may be carrying a grenade. Officers arrived on the scene and the suspect sarcastically stated that he possessed a grenade. The suspect, Brian E. Rowland, 25, was frisked and taken into custody. The victim stated due to an argument, Rowland stomped on her foot and shoved her head into a bathroom window. Rowland was charged with domestic battery.
Saturday
At 2:29 a.m., officers were alerted to a fight at Prontos Pizza, 1023 W. Hillcrest Drive. On arrival, the fight was already broken up. After speaking with the victims and witnesess, 2 suspects, Axel S. Morales, 21, and Angel D. Vasquez, 25, were identified and arrested. Morales was charged with 5 counts of battery. Vasquez was charged with two counts of battery.
At 3:27 a.m., officers responded to 300 Barberry Court in reference to an attempt theft investigation. The victim identified the suspect as Preston M. Williams, 26. Williams was charge with burglary, resisting a peace officer, and criminal trespass to a motor vehicle.
At 7:01 a.m., officers responded to 915 Crane Drive for a disorderly conduct complaint. Following investigation, Donnela C. Dilworth, 20, was charged with disorderly conduct. The original suspect was not located and a warrant will be sought.
At 6:03 p.m., officers went to 1123 State St. to serve a warrant. Christian E. Bellante, 39, was charged with failure to appear- driving without a license in DeKalb County, and failure to appear—violation of court order in Kendall County. Bellante was transported to the DeKalb County Sheriff’s Office.
At 9:44 p.m., officers observed a parked vehicle in the parking lot of University Village Apartments, 722 N. Annie Glidden Road, and the vehicle was not in a parking spot, After speaking to the driver, the vehicle was searched and Lanell Craft, 29, was charged with unlawful possession of cannabis.
At 10:55 p.m., following a traffic stop at 300 N. Annie Glidden Road, Jawuan C. Sutton, 27, was charged with driving without a licence. Sutton was released on bond.
