November 15, 2012
Jessica Grady, 41, has pled guilty to a count of unlawful possession of a controlled substance (Class 4 felony).
The charge stems from an incident earlier in the year. According to a Jan. 9 Northern Star article, DeKalb Police Lt. Gary Spangler said police responded to a Shipman Place residence where Grady and another person lived. There, the police found found 18.5 grams of crack cocaine and 32.85 grams of cannabis there, according to the article. The other person charged was Reginald T. Turner, 38.
Grady will serve 24 months of probation and 30 hours of community restitution service, and must pay a $500 fine plus fees and court costs, according to the Daily Chronicle.
Grady is the daughter of NIU Police Chief Donald Grady.
