A Sycamore restaurant has raised more than $2,000 for local non-profit.
Hink’s Bar and Grill, 123 S. California St. in Sycamore, sponsors the Annual Bike Run, a motorcycling event that raises money for charity each year.
Participants of the bike run pay $10 to ride their motorcycles to Ottawa, Ill as a group.
This year the event raised $2,050, which was donated to Feed’em Soup, 122 S. First St., according to a Saturday news release from Feed’em Soup.
Hink’s owners Mike and Lynn Henke, who used the event to combine their passions for motorcycling and their community into the yearly bike run, according to the release.
According to the release, Feed’em Soup’s volunteers appreciate what all the local businesses do for their organization, and said without support from fine establishments like Hink’s Bar and Grill, Feed’em Soup would not be able to provide its services to people in this community.
