Blotter 10/11 – 10/14

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Thursday

At 12:12 p.m., officers responded to Lowe’s, 2050 Sycamore Road, in regards to a report of retail theft. Following an investigation, Brian L. Harrington, 22, was arrested for retail theft.

At 3:19 p.m., officers observed a green GMC truck making an illegal left turn onto Seventh Street. Following a traffic stop, Humberto Rodriguez, 41, was arrested for driving without a valid driver’s license or insurance, as well as disobeying a traffic control device. Rodriguez was transported to DCPD, booked, and released after posting bond.

At 6:08 p.m., officers responded to Kohl’s, 2070 Sycamore Road, in regards to a report of retail theft. Sarah R. Sparks, 18, and Darlene D. Lundy, 18, were arrested for retail theft. An investigation was started.

At 8:45 p.m., officers cited Jerome V. Field, 23, at 895 Pappas Drive for the possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 9:01 p.m., officers responded to Wal-Mart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in regards to a report of retail theft. Jaice M. Flusch, 20, was arrested for retail theft.

Friday

Kendall T. Graham, 18, came to the Police Department to turn herself in on an active warrant for theft. Graham was arrested and released after posting bond.

At 2:16 a.m., officers observed a black Mustang driving erratically northbound near 700 N. Annie Glidden Road. Following a traffic stop, Jamal J. Womble, 22, was arrested for driving under the influence of alcohol and improper lane usage.

At 3:49 p.m., officers responded to 3210 Napa Court in regards to an active warrant. Following a short investigation, Brent E. Ferrari, 31, was arrested, transported to DCPD, and released after posting bond.

At 9:13 p.m., officers observed a suspect vehicle driving northbound in the 1000 block of Normal Road. A LEADS check of the registration revealed that the registered owner had an active warrant for speeding. Following a traffic stop, Oron D. Manson, 19, was arrested, transported to DCPD, and released after posting cash bond.

At 10:32 p.m., officers observed a vehicle stopped and blocking traffic in the 1100 block of Aspen Court. Following a traffic stop, Terell R. Kent, 19, was arrested and issued citations for driving with a suspended driver’s license and improper stopping on the roadway. Kent was released after posting bond.

Saturday

At 1:22 a.m., officers cited Whitney H. Claunch, 20, at 900 Greenbrier Drive for the unlawful possession of alcohol.

At 2:39 a.m., officers reported to 845 Regent Drive in regards to an intoxicated subject trespassing. The suspect, Maria K. Ambrosia, 20, had reportedly walked into the wrong apartment. Ambrosia was arrested for the consumption of alcohol as a minor.

At 4:22 a.m., officers responded to 400 W. Lincoln Highway in regards to a report of robbery. A subject reported that he was attacked by three subjects and alleged that $20 had been taken from his wallet. Following an investigation, Alexander M. Palmere, 21, was arrested for disorderly conduct and making a false 911 call.

At 5:15 a.m., officers cited Eric Bustos, 19, at 500 College Ave. for the unlawful consumption of alcohol as a minor.

At 11:29 a.m., officers cited Jesse R. Vidor, 20, in the 600 block of Grove St. for littering.

At 4:56 p.m., officers responded to Jewel, 1320 Sycamore Road, in reference to a retail theft. The suspect, Darin W. Grimsley, 44, was located and arrested on a class 3 felony due to prior convictions for retail theft.

At 10:17 p.m., officers reported to Thirsty Liquors, 1039 W. Hillcrest Drive, in regards to a report of retail theft. The suspect, Dylan J. Lovelace, 18, was located by Illinois State Police who were assisting the DCPD. Lovelace claimed he was 20 years of age, provided a fictitious name, and gave officers someone else’s I.D. Lovelace was arrested for retail theft, obstructing identification, possession of alcohol by a minor, and the consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Sunday

At 12:49 a.m., officers responded to 1029 Ridge Drive to check on a subject’s well being. The subject, Michael R. Lawson, 22, was arrested and transported to DCPD on an active warrant.

At 5:03 p.m., officers observed a blue truck turning westbound onto Lincoln Highway. As the truck turned, a grill fell out of the back of the truck and parts shattered on the ground. Following a traffic stop, Abelino Jacob, 40, was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Jacob was transported to DCPD and released after posting bond.
