Blotter 10/16

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday

At 5:01 p.m., officers responded to Paperback Grotto, 157 E. Lincoln Highway, in regards to a report of disorderly conduct. The suspect, Margaret J. Boleyjack, 19, was reported to have torn down a poster and was thought to have taken something from the store. Boleyjack was located nearby but gave a false name. Boleyjack was arrested for obstruction of identification, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct.

At 5:50 p.m., officers reported to 847 Russell Road in regards to a report of disorderly conduct. Following an investigation, Ashley A. Scott, 21, was arrested on an active warrant.

At 5:58 p.m., Joseph J. Alberti, 56, turned himself in to DCPD on an active warrant for theft. Alberti was booked and later released after posting bond.

At 6:19 p.m., officers responded to Paperback Grotto, 157 E. Lincoln Highway in regards to a report of disorderly conduct. While there, it was learned that a subject, Michael R. Herrick, 28, had an active warrant. Herrick was arrested, transported to DCPD, booked, and transferred to DCSO.

At 8:34 p.m., officers ran a license plate of a vehicle and found the registered owner was suspended. Following a traffic stop near 300 N. 10th St., the suspect, Shantrina M. Hill, 32, was arrested transported to DCPD, and booked.

At 9:50 p.m., officers reported to Lundeen’s Liquors, 1030 Arcadia Road in regards to a report of retail theft. Following an investigation, Delontae Hood, 18, was arrested for retail theft and later released on bond.

At 10:24 p.m., officers responded to 1129 S. Sixth St. in regards to a report of a domestic dispute. The suspect, Patrick Fox, 28, was arrested for criminal trespass to a residence and resisting a police officer.

At 11:15 p.m., officers ran the registration of a vehicle traveling eastbound on Locust Road. LEADS showed that the owner of the vehicle had an invalid driver’s license. Following a traffic stop, Andy Cardova, 21, was cited for driving without a license.

At 11:38 p.m., officers ran a registration check on a vehicle and learned the owner was wanted on a warrant. Officers spoke with the driver of the vehicle. The driver stated the wanted subject loaned her the car and she didn’t know where he was. Officers went to the apartment of the wanted subject and he climbed out of the window and escaped. He was captured back in the apartment hours later and cannabis was recovered. The suspect, Thomas W. Obed, 30, was arrested for the possession of cannabis and for an active warrant.
