More turn themselves in to police on charges related to Coffee Fund

1:40 p.m. update: NIU Police Sgt. Alan Smith said Susan Zahm and Lawrence Murray have turned themselves in to the NIU Police Department. Zahm is charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor. Lawrence is charged with four felonies and one misdemeanor.

Editor’s Note: A warrant for Theft (Class 4 Felony) listed Lawrence Murray as the defendant, but listed Robert Albanese as the defendant when describing the alleged crime. The Northern Star has not attributed this warrant to either man as it awaits confirmation of who has been charged with the count of Theft (Class 4 Felony).

NIU Police Sgt. Alan smith said three more NIU employees have turned themselves in on charges related to the coffee fund investigation.

According to Smith, Kenneth Pugh turned himself in to NIU Police Department. He is charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor.  Mark Beaird also turned himself in to the NIU Police Department; Beaird is charged with three felonies and one misdemeanor, also.

Smith said Joe Alberti turned himself in to the DeKalb Police Department. Alberti faces one felony charge.

Smith said all of those who had turned themselves in, including Robert Albanese, who turned himself in Tuesday night, had been processed and released.
