October 14, 2012
The Secretary of State’s office will offer various services to students during its Monday visit.
Students, faculty and staff will be able to get their driver’s license renewed, replaced and even corrected if necessary. Driver’s licenses can be renewed up to a year before their expiration date. Other services offered included vehicle sticker sales, organ/tissue donor registration, parking placards for persons with disabilities, and the sales of NIU collegiate license plates.
“Students, faculty and staff can show their pride in their university by displaying the NIU collegiate license plate on their vehicle,” Secretary of State Jesse White said in the news release.
The office will be available from 9:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. in the lower level of the Holmes Student Center.
Anyone wishing to take advantage of the office’s services should bring any state-approved ID. A complete list of identification forms can be found online at www.cyberdriveillinois.com.
Personal check, cash, MasterCard, American Express and Discover cards are welcome for any service that requires a payment.
