The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

Tuesday

Officers responded to Wal-Mart, 2300 Sycamore Road, in regards to a complaint of retail theft. The first suspect ran from the scene. The second attempted to walk away without providing any information. Following an investigation, Mitchell R. Jacobson, 25, was arrested for retail theft.

At 9:18 a.m., officers responded to 819 Russell Road in regards to a report of criminal trespass. The complainant reported her boyfriend threatened to batter her. Following an investigation, Perry M. Sims, 23, was arrested for criminal trespass to property and two counts of domestic battery.

At 12:29 p.m., officers responded to Wal-Mart, 2300 Sycamore Road in response to a complaint of retail theft. Following an investigation, Amanda K. Bruner, 22, was arrested for retail theft.

At 3:29 p.m., Cyerah R. Jenkins, 22, came to the Police Department to turn herself in on an active warrant. Jenkins was released after posting bond.

At 6:07 p.m., officers cited Michael F. Kinnamon, 18, near 400 Bantam St. for the possession of drug paraphernalia.

At 6:14 p.m., officers responded to 314 Linden Place in regards to a report of domestic battery. Following a short investigation, officers found that the suspect, Courtney T. Whited, 21, had punched the victim in the face and the genitals. Whited was arrested for domestic battery.

At 9:18 p.m., officers responded to Riverside Apartments, 807 W. Taylor St., in regards to a report of burglary. The victim advised that upon returning home, she found her computer midding and her kitchen door kicked in. Following an investigation, Brandon L. Harvey, 21, was arrested for residential burglary and criminal trespass to property.
