NIU’s Pi Sigma Epsilon fraternity will be hosting the band Dot Dot Dot at 9 p.m. on Friday at Otto’s, 118 E. Lincoln Highway. Admission is $8, and you must be 21 or older to attend. The performance will also feature Single Channel Stereo.

Dot Dot Dot is an independent band of five performers from Chicago who found success with their 2010 radio single Stay, which made the Top 100 on the weekly Mediabase Hot AC chart in June of that year. The band has also written many songs that can be heard in commercials and ads for businesses such as Jeep and Party City.

The event will be used as a fundraiser and marketing opportunity for Pi Sigma Epsilon, the only national sales, marketing and management fraternal organization in the U.S. Gamma Zeta, the Pi Sigma Epsilon chapter at NIU, was awarded first place for the Top Management Team Competition at the 2012 Pi Sigma Epsilon National Convention.

“We made a marketing strategy to reach students on campus to attend the show,” said marketing committee manager Rebecca Mensing.

Pi Sigma Epsilon will receive $2 for every $8 cover charge, according to Mensing.

“The money that we raise will go to our chapter funds and will ultimately be used for both regional and national conventions,” Mensing said.
