The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.

At 12:33 a.m., officers responded to a residence on Varsity Boulevard in response to a complaint of fighting. A pellet gun was found discarded at the scene. An investigation was started.
At 1:34 a.m., officers responded to a disturbance observed at a residence on Normal Road while on patrol. Several suspects were apprehended running from the scene and said there was a male subject in the apartment with a gun. The suspects believed at least one shot was fired. Joseph Bey, 22, was arrested on two charges of aggravated unlawful use of a weapon and the possession of a firearm without FOID. Latoya Anderson, 20, was also arrested for obstructing identification.
At 2:02 a.m., officers observed a suspect trespassing on private property at 700 W. Lincoln Highway. A warrant is being prepared for the suspect’s arrest.
At 2:03 a.m., officers responded to a residence on West Hillcrest Drive in reference to a disorderly conduct investigation. Upon arrival, officers separated all parties involved in the altercation and an investigation began. Eric Moss, 24, was arrested for displaying a knife and threatening a victim. Mossa was transported to DCPD where he fell and was injured. He was then released on bond and transported to Kane County Hospital.
At 2:10 a.m., officers fined Daniel Aspera, 29, for fighting at a residence on West Hillcrest Drive.
At 2:17 a.m., officers responded to Lundeen’s Liquors, 1030 Arcadia Drive, in regards to a complaint of fighting in the city. All parties involved were separated and an investigation was started.
At 2:28 a.m., officers fined Darius Crawford, 19, for keeping a disorderly house at a residence on Fotis Drive.
At 2:44 a.m., officers were flagged down by NIU police at a residence on Fotis Drive in reference to a battery that had occurred. The male victim, who was highly intoxicated, could not identify his assailant and was transported to Kishwaukee Community Hospital.
At 3:56 a.m., officers responded to Krispy Krunchy Chicken, 1011 W. Hillcrest Drive, on a report of theft. The complainant reported a 15-foot sign stolen by an unknown individual wearing a red hoodie. An investigation was started.
At 1:41 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of criminal trespass at Schnuck’s, 975 S. Annie Glidden Road. No arrests were made.
At 3 p.m., officers arrested Thomas Flynn, 21, at a residence on Cedar Circle on two charges of domestic battery.
At 4:49 p.m., officers responded to a complaint of theft at 730 N. Seventh St. The victim reported a black and gray Huffy Silver Rocket BMX bicycle was stolen. The surrounding area was checked for the bicycle with negative results.
At 8:22 p.m., officers initiated a traffic stop near 1000 W. Hillcrest Drive on a red Audi for traveling without its headlights on. The driver, David A. Grayson, 32, did not present insurance and was found to be driving with a suspended license. Grayson was arrested and transported to DCSO.
At 8:26 p.m., Denzel Tarver, 19, turned himself in to the DCPD on an active warrant for battery. Tarver could not pay the required bond. Tarver was then transported to the DeKalb County Jail and released into their custody.
At 9 p.m., officers responded to McDonald’s, 805 W. Lincoln Highway, in regard to a deception complaint. The suspect allegedly presented a fake $10 bill for payment. The suspect claimed to have received the bill as change at Wal-Mart. An investigation was started.
At 11:19 p.m., officers arrived at a residence on Roosevelt Street to serve a warrant for driving with a suspended license. Abraham A. Caudel, 19, was arrested, transported to DCPD and released on bond with a set court date.
At 11:39 p.m., Demetrius Easton, 23, was arrested during a traffic stop for driving with a suspended license. Easton posted cash bond and was released.
