The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Aug. 23, 2012
At 3:51 p.m., police responded to 806 Glidden Ave. for a report of unlawful use of a debit number. The victim was notified of the two suspicious charges. Both charges were suspended from pending status. There are no suspects at this time.
At 3:27 p.m., a victim came to the police department and said she ordered a phone from eBay in July. When contacted, the seller and UPS said the phone was shipped and delivered to her address. The victim came to the conclusion that someone must have stolen her phone from her doorstep. There are no suspects at this time.
At 4:59 p.m., a complainant at 120 John St. said a man refused to leave and threatened to kill her. Chiedo Ikedionwu, 36, was arrested for disorderly conduct.
At 7:45 p.m., criminal damage to property was reported at 1120 Varsity Boulevard apt. 221. The suspect damaged the driver’s mirror. There are no witnesses or suspects. This case is inactive.
Aug. 24, 2012
At 12:34 a.m., an officer performed a traffic stop at S. Annie Glidden Road. Rafael M. Salgado, 22, was found to be in possession of a suspended license. The officer issued him a citation and drove him home.
At 2:13 a.m., an officer performed a traffic arrest at 300 E. Lincoln Highway. Eileen E. Rathford, 24, swerved into an officer’s lane while driving. She was pulled over and charged with a DUI, DUI over .08, improper lane usage and texting while driving.
At 1:47 a.m., an officer saw a male running while carrying a silver can. Thomas R. Wilcox, 21, was arrested for unlawful possession of drug paraphernalia and an ordinance violation. He was booked and released after posting a $150 bond.
At 11:55 p.m., an officer responded to a call about retail theft at Lundeen Liquors, 1030 Arcadia Drive. The complainant said he stopped the suspect when he tried to exit with liquor in his pants. Wulu L. Dean, 24, was arrested.
At 1:40 a.m., an officer responded to Molly’s, 1000 W. Lincoln Highway for a report of theft. The victim left her phone in the bathroom at Molly’s and later realized it was missing. This case is pending investigation.
At 1:30 a.m., a victim came to the police department and police observed evidence of battery to the victim. The suspect, Joseph A. Martin, 21, denied physical contact with the victim and was placed under arrest.

At 2:02 a.m., an officer noticed a vehicle make a wide turn onto 600 Garden Road. The driver’s eyes appeared to be bloodshot and his speech was slurred. The driver identified himself as Trent Busse. Busse failed a sobriety test and was arrested for DUI. He was later released after posting bond.
At 2:07 a.m., a female attempted to fight another female at Krispy Krunchy Chicken, 1011 W. Hillcrest Drive. A man tried to restrain the female. One female claimed the other female sent her harassing texts so she came out to talk in person. An argument started. Nothing physical occurred and no charges were made.
At 1:34 a.m., police responded to a call regarding a large and loud party at 809 Edgebrook Drive, Apt. 8. Ten cars and 30 people who did not live in the complex were cleared out. The crowd grew as more people tried to enter the complex and caused traffic. Four people were arrested for various offenses.
At 10:50 a.m., a bike was reported stolen at 1520 Sycamore Road. The owner left his bike by a light pole with no lock. A bag of groceries was also stolen with the bike. Close businesses were contacted but none of their surveillance cameras were on that parking lot. This incident was documented for records.
At 2:30 p.m., a female pumped 2.64 gallons of gas and left without paying at 2400 Sycamore Road. The suspect’s vehicle is a red Chevy Cavalier. This case is pending investigation.
At 3:41 p.m., Brittney Masgla was cited for carrying an open container of Busch Lite at 1200 Hillcrest Drive. She was arrested and later released on bond.
At 5:02 p.m., a car parked at 1468 Cambria Drive was vandalized with eggs, Vaseline and an unknown powder substance overnight. The victim said he suspects a female he had a brief relationship with committed the act. The victim believes there is no permanent damage. This case is pending.
At midnight, a theft of a cell phone was reported at Molly’s, 1000 W. Lincoln Highway. The victim was contacted and a description of the cell phone was given. Security cameras were checked but no suspect was identified.
At 10:50 p.m., two officers pinned a subject who was resisting arrest against the ground at 1000 Ridge Road. The subjects were yelling at the officers. One officer put out a hand, signaling the subjects to stop, and the first subject allegedly hit the officer’s hand while the second subject stepped back. The first subject refused to get into the squad car and was physically forced to get in. He tried to kick the window out of the squad car. Patrick E. Kronenbarg was arrested for aggravated battery and resisting arrest.

At 12:03 a.m., trespassing was reported at 1025 Crane Drive. but no suspects were found. The resident who reported the alleged trespassing was spoken with. An investigation has started.
At midnight, police were dispatched to 107 Berkshire Drive for a report of graffiti. An investigation had started.
At 9:07 p.m., officers responded to the DeKalb Taylor Municipal Airport, 3232 Pleasant St. An employee was found struggling with an unknown person. An investigation has started.
At 12:54 a.m., patrol requested by a property owner for large party complaint at 845 Pappas Drive, Apt. 3. Jonathan C. Y. Fang was arrested for obstructing and resisting a police officer.
At 1:54 a.m., officers were flagged down by battery victim at Starbuster’s Bar and Grill, 930 Pappas Drive. An investigation was started.
At 1:22 a.m., a complainant was walking back from Lundeen’s Discount Liquors, 1030 Arcadia Drive, when he saw multiple males flipping over a lawn char and kicking benches at 114 Blackhawk Road. Police were unable to locate the subjects. This case is inactive.
At 8:20 p.m., a purple Chevy was pulled over for not having illumination on the vehicle’s rear license plate. The driver had no insurance and was driving with a suspended license. Janeva Grant was arrested, given a court date and later released on bond.
At 9:40 p.m., police were dispatched to 504 S. Sixth St. Scott Store claimed he was drunk and did not remember hitting a girl with a chair. Store was then arrested for domestic battery and taken to DSCO.
