No one was reported injured in a structure fire that occurred on Sunday morning in the 300 block of West Hillcrest Drive.

According to a DeKalb Fire Department press release, the fire started in the garage of a residence and spread to the kitchen of the home, through an open doorway. The fire was contained to the back half of the garage and the kitchen area. The home had heavy smoke damage and the total amount of damage is approximately $180,000.

The fire remains under investigation by both the DeKalb police and the DeKalb Fire Department.
