The Sycamore Police Department responded to a fatal forklift accident at Menards, 1825 Mercantile Drive in Sycamore, Tuesday afternoon.

The police department was called at 2:35 p.m. A Menards employee was crushed to death by a forklift, said Sycamore Police Sgt. Michael Anderson.

The DeKalb County Coroner’s Office is still investigating the accident and will release the victim’s information Wednesday morning, Anderson said.

The Occupational Safety and Health Administration was called to the scene, Anderson said.
