Did Peyton Manning get too high in the Mile High City while visiting the Denver Broncos?

After having several NFL team’s by the cajones throughout the NFL off-season, Manning finally made his decision Monday to join the Broncos, leaving the San Francisco 49ers and Tennessee Titans in the dust.

That does not make sense.

Manning wants to win, and he wants to win now. The Niners’ offense features the freakishly athletic Vernon Davis, a stout running back in Frank Gore and recent additions at wide receiver in Randy Moss and Mario Manningham. Most importantly, San Francisco’s offensive line is stacked with five heavy hitters.

Instead, Manning elected to join a Broncos offense which features raw and inept wide receivers, a 30-year old running back Willis McGahee and likely a group on enraged and idiotic Tim Tebow supporters.

Aside from questioning his judgement, Manning is a smart guy. He has his reasons for choosing the Broncos.

I just don’t see where it all adds up.
