At 5:44 p.m., a DeKalb police officer on patrol in the 800 block of N. Annie Glidden Road observed a maroon Buick traveling southbound in the inside lane, with both front and back right tires on the double yellow line. The vehicle continued southbound in position for about one block before the officer initiated a traffic stop. The driver, Iretha Gaines, 22, of DeKalb, said she was distracted because she was not familiar with the area. The officer found Gaines’ driver’s license was suspended. Gaines was arrested, transported to the DeKalb Police Department and later released on bond.
