Sunday
At 1:39 a.m., officers encountered a person with an open container of alcohol who was under 21. The person was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 2:17 a.m., officers encountered an intoxicated person in the lobby of Grant Towers North who was under 21. The individual was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
At 1:53 p.m., an officer was dispatched to Stevenson Tower South to meet with a complainant regarding the theft of her driver’s license. This case is pending investigation.
At 6:09 p.m., officers responded to the Recreation Center to meet with a complainant regarding the theft of a wallet. This case is pending investigation.
At 1:29 p.m., an officer was dispatched to the Holmes Student Center bus turnaround to meet with an individual regarding a missing backpack. This case is administratively closed.
Monday
At 3 a.m., officers were dispatched to a Northern View apartment for a report of a disturbance. Officers made contact with Ryan J. Wiley-Smith, 23, of Matteson, who was banned from NIU property and had an active warrant for his arrest. Wiley-Smith was arrested for the warrant and also charged with criminal trespass to real property. He was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
At 8:49 a.m., an officer was dispatched to Gabel Hall for a report of a banned individual, Keith L. Terrell, 22, of Chicago, being on campus. Terrell was arrested and charged with criminal trespass to state supported land. He was released on cash bond.
