Slow for snow

The windshield of Maggie Carrigan’s Volkswagon Beetle is cracked after she hit a pedestrian in December 2008. Carrigan’s brakes failed to stop her car from skidding into Lincoln Highway, and the pedestrian was found to be at fault for jaywalking. Police urge drivers to drive more slowly during the winter to avoid accidents.
