Nominations for the Outstanding Service Award are being accepted until Feb. 24.

Up to four NIU civil service employees receive the award each year. Each recipient is presented with a plaque and a $1500 reward.

Any full- or part-time civil service employee who has been continuously employed at NIU prior to Feb. 2, 2006 is eligible for the award.

One nomination letter and two letters of support from current or retired NIU employees must be sent to Human Resource Services. The letters should focus on the quality of the nominee’s work, his or her effectiveness in dealing with members of NIU’s community and his or he contribution to their community of residence.
