Tickets for championship games available

NIU’s Student Involvement & Leadership Development is offering a bus transportation deal for Friday’s MAC Championship game between NIU and Ohio.

Tickets cost $10 and include a ride to the game in Detroit, lunch and ticket to the game.

The bus will depart from the NIU Convocation Center (C3 Parking Lot) at 8:30 a.m.

Those who take part in this deal must ride on their assigned bus, and the letter of which bus a ticket holder must take (a-e) will be located on the ti-cket.

Students must also bring their NIU one card to board the bus.

There are no large bags, alcohol, weapons or drugs allowed on the bus.

Any bags that are brought along by passengers are subject to search at Ford Field.

Students are being urged to wear comfortable clothes and, preferably, red and black.

The buses will only make one stop.

As soon the game concludes, the bus will immediately leave Ford Field.

Lunch will be provided for bus passengers. For more information, students should call 815-753-1421.

Tickets are available for the 2011 Division I Women’s Volleyball Championship tournament held in Ames, Iowa at the Hilton Coliseum through ticketmaster.com.

NIU volleyball will take on Miami (Fla.) 5 p.m. Friday in a first round matchup. NIU’s fans will be seated in section 111.

Ticket offers vary from a single session ($10 adult, $7 high school and younger) and All-Session ($14 adult, $10 high school and younger)

In the second round, the winner of the Miami (Fla.) vs. NIU match will take on the winner between Milwaukee and No. 4 Iowa State 6:30 p.m. Saturday.

Tickets are $8 for adults and $6 for high school and younger.
