City blotter for 10/10/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Thursday

At 10:19 p.m., DeKalb Police checked the license plates of a vehicle in the 1000 block of Crane Drive and found them to be suspended for insurance violations. The registered owner, Sarina Glover, 22, of DeKalb, was found to have a suspended driver’s license. The officer performed a traffic stop and found Glover was the driver of the vehicle. Glover was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.

Friday

At 9:16 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle disobey a stop sign in the 1000 block of Pleasant Street. The driver, Steven P. Dombrowski, 45, of DeKalb, was found to be driving on a suspended license. Dombrowski was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.

Saturday

At 2:32 a.m., DeKalb Police responded to a residence in the 800 block of W. Taylor Street for a report of a suspicious vehicle. Upon arrival, officers located the vehicle stopped in the front yard of the residence with the driver, Jeffrey K. Stout, 23, of DeKalb, passed out inside. Stout was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. He was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.

At 3:20 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle disobey a traffic signal in the 1000 block of Greenbrier Road. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Daryen W. Barrett, 20, of St. Charles, to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Barrett was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later transported to DeKalb County Jail.

At 3:20 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle disobey a traffic signal in the 1000 block of Greenbrier Road. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Philip C. Egler, 25, of St. Charles, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Egler was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later transported to DeKalb County Jail.

At 1:26 p.m., DeKalb Police observed the passenger of a vehicle in the 800 block of N. Eleventh Street was not wearing a seatbelt. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Fidel Mendez-Hernandez, 33, of DeKalb, was driving with a suspended driver’s license. Mendez-Hernandez was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond. The passenger, Diego Morales, 31, of Montgomery, was issued a seatbelt citation and released at the scene.
