Homecoming elections begin 9 a.m. Wednesday

Students have an opportunity to crown royalty this week.
Homecoming elections are Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. at polling places across campus, including the Holmes Student Center.
Candidates for Homecoming queen are: Elizabeth Elie, Lauren Gress, Jasmine Harvell, Cassandra Lombard and Faith Stauersboll.
King candidates are: Kyle Aragon, Christopher Lloyd, Alandis Phillips, Nicholas Sanders and Steven Williams.
The king and queen will be crowned at Saturday’s football game, with the eight other candidates serving as the Homecoming court.
According to the Campus Activities Board Homecoming informational packet, candidates must attend the powder-puff football game, kick-off rally, homecoming parade and football game in order to remain eligible. Any candidate who does not attend all events will be removed from the court.
Students must have a valid NIU OneCard in order to vote. Write-in candidates are not allowed.
