City blotter for 10/3/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
Thursday
At 8:13 p.m., DeKalb Police were dispatched to the 900 block of Crane Drive for a report of a possible break in. The call was determined to be unfounded. Upon exiting, police observed a vehicle that was registered to an individual, Tina Kizer, 27, of DeKalb, who has been banned from the property since 2006. Kizer was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station and was later released on bond.
Friday
At 1:42 a.m., DeKalb County Sheriff’s deputies performed a traffic stop at the intersection of Glidden Road and Twombly Road. The driver, Johnathon Fong, 20, of DeKalb, was found to be driving under the influence of alcohol. Fong was arrested and charged with unlawful consumption of alcohol by a minor. He was taken to DeKalb County Jail for booking.
At 9:47 p.m., DeKalb Police checked the registration of a vehicle in the 1000 block of West Lincoln Highway. The owner of the vehicle, Ryan J. Webb, 20, of DeKalb, was found to have an active warrant for battery from Lee County. The officer performed a traffic stop and found Webb was driving. Webb was placed under arrest, and a search revealed a small bag of cannabis in Webb’s left shoe. He was taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
Saturday
At 1:22 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 400 block of Russell Road turn without signaling. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Charleane M. Brown, 18, of DeKalb, did not have a valid driver’s license. Brown was arrested and taken to DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.
At 1:42 a.m., DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 800 block of Pappas Drive cross the center line. The officer performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Patric L. Barnes, 24, of DeKalb, was driving under the influence of alcohol. Barnes was arrested and taken to the DeKalb Police Station. He was later released on bond.
