Campus blotter 10/4/11

Friday

  • At 2:30 a.m., an officer responded to the Grant South service drive for a report of an underage intoxicated woman. After verifying she was OK, the officer gave her a verbal warning for illegal consumption of alcohol.

Saturday

  • At 3:18 p.m., an officer responded to the lobby of the NIU Police Department regarding a report of a wallet theft. This case is pending investigation.
  • At 1:28 p.m., an officer was in Lot L when she observed an individual stumbling through the lot. The officer contacted the student and referred her to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for illegal consumption of alcohol by a minor.

Sunday

  • At 1:35 a.m., officers responded to the Douglas Hall lobby for a report of an intoxicated student. The student, Timothy Brennan, 19, of Mundelin, was arrested for consumption of alcohol by a minor.
  • At 2:31 a.m., a sergeant and an officer responded to the northeast side of Altgeld Hall for a report of people on the roof. They made contact with three people at the scene, who were referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct for criminal trespass to property.
  • At 4:47 p.m., an officer responded to the lobby of Stevenson Towers North regarding a theft report. Upon arrival, he met with a student who said someone stole his cell phone while he was at the Campus Recreation Center. This case is pending investigation.
