Sunday
- At 11:17 p.m., an officer conducting a building check of the 12th floor of Grant B Tower observed an intoxicated student exiting a room and stumbling in the hallway. Officers contacted that student and smelled alcohol on him. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Conduct along with two others in his room.
- At 4:16 p.m., an officer assisted a student who locked his keys in the car. When the officer unlocked the car and opened the door, he smelled and saw cannabis sitting in the vehicle. The student was referred to the Office of Community Standards and Student Conduct.
Monday
- At 11:28 a.m., an officer responded to the Neptune East lobby area for the report of a theft. Upon arrival, he met with a man who said someone stole his gray hooded sweatshirt. This case is pending investigation.
Tuesday
- At 12:34 a.m., an officer responded to Stevenson Towers North Lobby to meet with a student regarding an alleged battery that occurred on Monday. After speaking with the student and alleged offender, the student refused to sign a complaint against the offender. This case is closed by a refusal to cooperate.
- At 12:37 a.m., an officer responded to Lot 44 concerning a report of criminal damage to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, he met with the man who said his passenger side window was smashed. He said nothing appeared to be missing from his vehicle. This case is pending investigation.
- At 1:59 a.m., an officer responded to the Douglas Hall lobby area for a report of a stolen credit card. Upon arrival, he met with the student who said that she lost her Chase debit card and someone used it to make fraudulent charges. This case is pending investigation.
- At 3:45 a.m. officers responded to Northern View Building 2B for a report of a possible altercation. Upon arrival, they encountered a boyfriend and girlfriend who were arguing. This case is pending investigation.
- At 11:29 a.m., officers responded to NIU Lot S for a report of damage to a vehicle. Upon arrival, the officer saw a vehicle with a driver side window broken. This case is pending investigation.
- At 3:20 p.m., an officer responded to Douglas Hall regarding a report of mail tampering. This case is pending investigation.
- At 9:30 p.m., a police sergeant responded to NIU Lot A for a report of damage to property. Upon arrival, he saw a vehicle with a window broken. The vehicle’s owner said items were stolen from the vehicle. This case is administratively closed pending the discovery of leads.
