Tuesday

  • At 6:54 a.m., an officer responded to the construction site near Annie Glidden Road and Grant Drive Extension for a report of criminal damage to property. Upon arrival, the site manager advised that someone damaged a leased crane on the work site. Due to a lack of leads or suspects, this case is closed.
  • At 11:36 a.m., an officer responded to NIU Parking Lot 12 for a report of a vehicle with a smashed window. The vehicle owner stated that a laptop computer and other items were taken from the vehicle. Due to a lack of leads or suspects, this case is closed.
  • At 12:30 p.m., an officer responded to NIU Parking Lot S regarding a burglary to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, he met with the victim who said that someone smashed her front passenger window and stole her purse. This case is pending investigation.
  • At 2:12 p.m., an officer responded to NIU Parking Lot S regarding a burglary to a motor vehicle. Upon arrival, she met with the victim who stated that someone broke her passenger side car window and stole her wallet and GPS unit. Due to a lack of leads or suspects, this case is closed.
  • At 4:04 p.m., an officer responded to the Grant Towers South lobby regarding a stolen bicycle. Due to a lack of leads or suspects, this case is closed.
  • At 6:51 p.m., officers met a complainant at the DeKalb Municipal Building on Fourth Street regarding a domestic battery. The complainant said that her boyfriend hit her and used abusive language towards her. She refused to sign a complaint against him. This case is closed.
  • At 8:58 p.m., an officer responded to Faraday Hall East regarding a theft. Upon arrival, the complainant advised that a VGA cable was stolen from the room. Due to a lack of leads or suspects, this case is administratively closed.
