White Sox personalized license plates helps the Professional Sports Team Education Fund

The new Chicago White Sox permanent Illinois license plate was unveiled Tuesday, according to a press release from the Illinois Secretary of State.

The license plate, on display during a press conference at the James R. Thompson Center Tuesday, is black and features the White Sox logo. Twenty-five dollars from each license plate purchase is donated to the Professional Sports Teams Education Fund. The money is earmarked for the Common School Fund, which supports schools throughout Illinois, according to the release.

Preordering is available to the public at cyberdriveillinois.com for random number, personalized or vanity plates. Random number plates cost $69 and pricing will vary for vanity and personalized plates.
