At 7:44 p.m. Monday, DeKalb Police observed a driver who was not wearing a seat belt in the 200 block of South Pearl St. Police performed a traffic stop and found the driver, Jose Manuel Avila-Duran, 38, of DeKalb, did not have a valid driver’s license. Avila-Duran was taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later released on bond.

At 5:28 p.m. Wednesday, DeKalb Police responded to a call in the 1700 block of Clark St. The caller reported that someone had witnessed her ex-boyfriend enter her home through a window. Police found the subject, Joshua M. Patton, 25, of DeKalb at the home. Patton was taken to the DeKalb Police Station and later transferred to DeKalb County Jail.
