DeKALB | Despite rainy conditions, about 500 people came to see the second day of the annual Tugs tournament on Tuesday.

Jeremy Sanchez, Interfraternity Council vice president of Community Events, said he wasn’t pleased with the weather.

“Despite the bad weather, we still had a great turnout,” Sanchez said. “There was great support for all of the teams who participated today and we’re expecting the same thing for the rest of the week.”

The third day of the tournament will continue today at 2 p.m. with consolation bracket teams. Delta Upsilon, Sigma Alpha Epsilon, Sigma Pi, Phi Kappa Sigma and Omega Delta will all be competing tomorrow for 5th through 8th place.

Full week passes are no longer available, but students are still encouraged to purchase entry passes at the East side tailgate of Huskie Stadium for $5 and to join the Facebook event NIU IFC Tugs 2011 for up-to-date information
