NIU announced Wednesday that Ricardo Patton will not return be the head men’s basketball coach.

The announcement comes after a 9-21 season, which was Patton’s fourth consecutive 20-loss season. The Huskies were 35-83 during Patton’s tenure.

Athletic Director Jeff Compher will use the services of Collegiate Sports Associates to conduct the university’s search for a new men’s basketball head coach, a process that Compher will be close to.
