Saturday

• At 10:33 p.m., DeKalb Police

  stopped a vehicle in the 100 block of Cobblestone Trail. The

  vehicle was found after police responded to a reckless driving

  complaint in the 400 block of W. Fairview Drive. Police learned the

  driver, Christopher S. Ciappa, 45, of Aurora, was found to be under

  the influence. Ciappa was arrested and taken to the police station.

  He was later released on bond.

• At 2:21 a.m., DeKalb Police ran a

  check on a vehicle in the 400 block of E. Lincoln Highway. Police

  learned that the driver, Brian A. Root, 19, of Wheaton, was driving

  with a suspended license. Wheaton was taken to the police station.

  He was later released with a court date.
