City crime blotter for 01/24/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
At 10:20 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 600 block of Annie Glidden Road. Police learned the driver, Donte L. Hill, 22, of Zion, was driving with a revoked license. Hill was arrested for driving with a revoked license and for possession of cannabis. He was transported to the police station and later released on bond.
At 11:49 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 900 block of Ridge Drive. Police found a vehicle whose owner had a revoked license. The owner, Matthew W. Keeley, 22, of DeKalb, was arrested for driving with a revoked license and a failure to appear warrant for a DUI charge. Keeley was taken to the police station and later released on bond.
At 2:28 a.m. Sunday, DeKalb Police responded to a reported disorderly subject in the 800 block of Russell Road. Police learned the subject, Darnell Caldwell, 24, of DeKalb, had a warrant for criminal damage to property. Caldwell was arrested and taken to the police station. He was later transported to the DeKalb County Jail and held on bond.
At 7:09 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police responded to the 600 block of First Street to serve a warrant. Police confirmed that David A. Thomas, 37, of DeKalb, had a failure to appear warrant on a charge for fighting in the city and a failure to appear warrant for driving with a suspended license. Thomas was taken to the DeKalb County Jail and held on bond.
