City crime blotter for 01/18/11

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.

Dec. 10, 2010

  • At 8 a.m., DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 1800 block of Sycamore Road for speeding. Police found the driver, Alfonso Saldana, 30, of DeKalb, did not have a valid driver’s license. Saldana was arrested and charged with driving without a valid driver’s license and speeding. He was later released on bail.
  • At 11:58 a.m., DeKalb Police were called to the 800 block of Russell Road, for a domestic dispute involving Jamila L. Loggins, 25, of DeKalb. Loggins was found to have a failure to appear warrant in her name. She was arrested and transported to the DeKalb County Jail.

Friday

  • At 9:54 a.m., DeKalb Police recognized someone with an outstanding warrant in the 900 block of Ridge Drive, Police observed Anthony A. Glenn, 27, of DeKalb getting into a car and driving away. He was arrested for driving with a revoked license and having a failure to appear warrant outside of Stephenson county. He was later taken to DeKalb County Jail.

Saturday

  • At 10:54 p.m., DeKalb Police stopped a vehicle in the 300 block of Nonmae St. for disobeying a stop sign. Police learned that the driver, Amy B Russell, 38, of DeKalb, was driving with a suspended license. She was arrested and later released on an individual bond.

Sunday

  • At 9:35 p.m., DeKalb Police were called to University Plaza, 900 Crane St. with a reference to a person with a warrant. Michael E. McFadden, 19, of DeKalb was arrested for the possession of cannabis and having a failure to appear warrant. He was later released on bond.
