Illinois’ Sheriff’s Association will award a scholarship for higher learning

DeKALB | DeKalb County Sheriff Roger Scott will award a $500 scholarship to a student in DeKalb County.
The Illinois’ Sheriff’s Association announced that it will award 105 college scholarships throughout Illinois. Scott will award the scholarship on behalf of the ISA, according to a press release.
Students must be permanent residents of DeKalb County and must use the scholarship for higher learning within the state. In addition, students must be enrolled as full time during the 2011-2012 school year.
Applications are available at the sheriff’s office, 150 N. Main St. in Sycamore, www.ilsheriff.org or www.dekalbcountyilsheriff.org. Applications should be returned to the sheriff’s office by March 11.
