DeKALB | NIU is giving prospective freshmen a chance to enroll “on-the-spot.”

Prospective freshmen who visit NIU on Saturday Feb. 5 will have the option to have their application fee waived, academic record reviewed by admissions staff, and receive an immediate decision about their academic future while on campus.

The admissions staff will require students to bring their completed NIU application, official high school transcripts in a sealed envelope, and ACT or SAT scores.

According to the Office of Undergraduate Admissions’ website, students eligible for enrollment should review NIU’s admission profile before applying.

Students will also get the chance to attend an admission information session, tour NIU’s campus, and speak with financial aid and admissions counselors. Students interested in attending this event should make a reservation by Tuesday at [email protected] or at 815-753-8301.

Students should include their full name, date of birth, e-mail address and the names of their guests.
