Structure fire causes about $15,000 in damages

About $15,000 in damages was caused by a structure fire in the 1400 block of Cambria Drive.
DeKalb Fire Department arrived to the scene at 10:01 p.m., taking 20 minutes to get the fire under control, according to a DeKalb Fire Department press release.
The release said fire crews were able to quickly minimize the fire but it caused part of the gas meter to melt.
Assistance was received from Nicor due to fire crews being unable to stop the flow of natural gas, according to the release.
No one was at the home at the time of the fire, the release said.
Cause of the fire was undetermined. Fire crews remained on scene until Nicor stopped the flow of gas, according to the release.
