    Player of the Week honors. The redshirt junior threw for a season

    high 281 yards with three touchdown passes. After polishing off the

    Zips, Harnish became the leader in MAC passing efficiency with a

    158.6 rating.

  • Quickly becoming a mainstay on Huskie Briefs is freshman

    target=”_blank”>Lauren Wicinski, who was named MAC West

    Offensive Player of the Week for the third time this season on

    Monday. Wicinski is currently leading all freshmen in the country

    in kills and aces. Over the course of the week, the freshman helped

    the Huskies to two five-set victories over MAC opponents by

    accumulating 47 kills and 18 digs.

    target=”_blank”>NIU men’s golf finished seventh at the

    rain-shortened Cleveland State University Telich Sun Life Financial

    Golf Invitational. After opening the season with a 12th place

    finish, the Huskies have now finished in the top 10 in three

    straight events. Next up for NIU is the Bearcats’ Cincinnati

    Invitational on Monday, Oct. 11.

  • In action for the second consecutive weekend, the <a href=

    “http://www.niuhuskies.com/sports/w-xc/niu-w-xc-body.html” target=

    “_blank”>NIU cross country team raced to a 16th-place finish at

    the 55th Annual Notre Dame Invitational. Setting a personal record

    was sophomore Courtney Oldenburg with a time of 18:29 in the 5K.

    The Huskies are off until Oct. 16 when they will head to West

    Salem, Wisc. for the Tori Neubauer Invitational.
