City police blotter for 10/19/10

The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from the DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
- At 12:40 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police responded to a call from dispatch regarding a driving complaint in the 800 block of Lincoln Highway. After police stopped the vehicle, they could smell the odor of alcohol from the inside. After a field sobriety test, the driver displayed indications of impairment. Richard W. Fallbacher, 20, of Big Rock was arrested and charged with driving under the influence of alcohol and illegal transportation of alcohol. Fallbacher was transported to the DeKalb Police Department.
- At 3:38 a.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 1200 block of Blackhawk Road fail to yield at an intersection. After pulling the driver over, police learned they had a suspended license. Britiana A. Quintero, 18, of Dyer, Ind., was arrested for driving with a suspended license. Quintero was transported to the DeKalb Police Department and released on bond.
- At 10:09 p.m. Saturday, DeKalb Police observed a vehicle in the 100 block of South Second Street with no headlights. Police conducted a traffic stop and arrested David T. Salazar, 28, of Kingston, for driving under the influence of alcohol, having no headlights on when required and going the wrong way on a one way street. An investigation was started.
- At 2:27 a.m. Sunday, DeKalb Police observed a person in the 800 block of Edgebrook Drive engaged in multiple drug transactions. Cedric A. Tucker, 41, of Chicago, was arrested for unlawful possession of a controlled substance and unlawful possession of a controlled substance with the intent to deliver. Tucker was found in possession of eight small bags of cannabis and 13 pills of ecstasy. He was sent to the DeKalb Police Department and later transported to the DeKalb County Jail pending bond.
