Today at 10:30 a.m., NIU will be named recipient of the Governor’s Award for Excellence in Veterans Education during a special awards ceremony.

This is an award the state gives out to recognize the veterans education.

Speakers at the event include Dan Grant, director of the Illinois Department of Veterans’ Affairs, and NIU President John Peters.

The ceremony will be at the NIU Barsema Alumni and Visitors Center.
