The following was taken directly from area police and fire department records, or from the DeKalb County court records. Anyone mentioned is presumed innocent until proved guilty in a court of law.
At 7:39 a.m. Monday, an officer observed a vehicle in the 300 block of Lincoln Highway, going 51 mph in a 30 mph zone. The officer found the driver did not have a valid driver’s license. Oscar E. Diaz, 25 of Elburn, was arrested on charges of driving with a suspended license, speeding and operating an uninsured motor vehicle. Diaz was released on a $100 bond.
At 9:11 p.m. Tuesday, officers were dispatched to the 1300 block of Pleasant Street for a reported reckless driver who had been squealing their tires several times. An officer responded and stopped the vehicle. The officer arrested Omar Rivera, 19 of DeKalb, and charged him for driving with a suspended license and no insurance. He was sent to the police department and later released on bond.
At 9:51 p.m. Tuesday, an officer ran a check on a vehicle during a traffic stop in the 100 block of North Annie Glidden Road and found the registration was suspended for a mandatory insurance violation. The driver identified himself as Carmon Goodall and said he had no ID on his person. It was revealed the driver was actually Edurado Goodwill, 29 of Sycamore. Goodall was arrested and sent to the police department on charges of driving with a suspended license, suspended registration and obstructing identification. Goodall was unable to post bond and was transported to DeKalb County Jail.
