What at excellent piece by Dan Martynowicz! I felt like I experienced that B-17 ride, too. I thoroughly enjoyed his writing style and personal account of this experience. Next year I’m there in that B-17! 

My dad was in the nursing home (off of Annie Glidden Road) a couple years ago when the bomber made a pass. I know it was a special highlight for him and all the other veterans that were there. They truly were the greatest generation.
